Only two months before ending his term of office, Pedro Ortigão Correia was the first to leave the board of directors of the agency headed by Miguel Frasquilho.

One of the board members of AICEP (Portuguese Business Development Agency), Pedro Ortigão Correia, has resigned from the agency that aims to promote national exports and attract foreign investments and which is headed by Miguel Frasquilho.

With just two months before ending his term of office, Pedro Ortigão Correia was the first to leave, although without having any new job position, as he confirmed to ECO himself. Still part of the team is Luís Filipe de Castro Henriques, José Vital Morgado and Helena Malcata.

All members of the Board headed by Miguel Frasquilho should conclude their term of office by the end of the year and are, until then, performing their functions fully.

Whether or not Miguel Frasquilho continues to head AICEP is unknown. The Portuguese minister of Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, has not yet communicated his decision on the presidency of the agency. When contacted by ECO, the minister only stated “AICEP’s board is fulfilling the mandate, with full powers”, without adding further information on the subject.
