The organisation led by Gonçalo Regalado revealed that it will sign agreements with international banks in the next few days, namely with the Polish BGK, the Brazilian BNDES and the French Bpifrance.

Banco Português de Fomento (BPF) will sign three partnership agreements with three international banks, opening the door to co-operation on strategic projects, but also to co-financing for companies or funds, the institution revealed on Thursday.

After signing a partnership that brought the bank together with a sovereign wealth fund from the United Arab Emirates, the BPF will sign “in the next few days” agreements with Poland’s BGK, Brazil’s BNDES and France’s Bpifrance.

These memoranda of understanding will allow “co-operation on strategic projects, including infrastructure, industry and green and digital transitions” and the ‘”possibility of co-financing companies or funds with potential in both countries”.

On the other hand, these agreements open the door to “mutual promotion of financial instruments to support internationalisation”, and are carried out “without exclusivity and within the mandates and internal rules of each party”, says the entity led by Gonçalo Regalado.
