"TAP's revenues are rising in line, but slightly above the sector as a whole," the minister said.

Portugal’s minister of infrastructure and housing said on Monday that TAP’s revenues are “rising in line, but a little above the sector as a whole,” which indicates that it is “not doing badly” when compared to its competitors.

Pedro Nuno Santos was being heard by the joint parliamentary committee on Budget and Finance and Economy, Public Works, Planning and Housing, as part of the special assessment of the 2022 budget.

“TAP’s revenues are rising in line, but slightly above the sector as a whole,” the minister said.

In other words, “it means that TAP is not doing badly from a revenue point of view when compared to its competitors,” Nuno Santos added.

During his hearing, the minister stressed that Portugália “is one of the most important instruments in TAP’s recovery strategy”, stressing that the company’s work is that of a feeder for TAP”.
