Sofia Lufinha, who was previously working for the Jerónimo Martins group, is expected to take office on July 1.

TAP has appointed Sofia Lufinha as its Chief Strategy Officer, according to an internal memo to which Lusa had access. “The entry of the new member of the Board of Directors, who will also serve as a member of the Executive Committee, will be effective at TAP’s next General Meeting, and is expected to take office on July 1,” the airline said in the same memo.

According to TAP, “with extensive professional experience in the retail sector, Sofia Lufinha has a degree in Industrial Engineering”. “She transits from Jerónimo Martins Group, where she developed much of her career, after having also been a consultant at McKinsey & Company for several years,” the carrier highlighted.

In June 2021, the Portuguese airline announced that the Board of Directors had appointed the company’s new Executive Committee for the four-year period 2021-2024, chaired by Christine Ourmières-Widener.
