Portugal sees 18 Covid deaths, 2,752 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

The daily epidemiological bulletin of the DGS counts 943 people hospitalized today, 12 more than on Sunday, of which 152 are in intensive care units, seven more in the last 24 hours.

Portugal on Monday records 18 more deaths associated with Covid-19 and 2,752 infections with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and a slight increase in hospitalisations and intensive care, indicates the health authorities (DGS).

The daily epidemiological bulletin of the DGS counts 943 people hospitalized today, 12 more than on Sunday, of which 152 are in intensive care units, seven more in the last 24 hours.

According to data from the health authority, there was one death in the age group between 40 and 49, one between 60 and 69, five between 70 and 79 and 11 among the elderly over 80.

Of the 18 deaths, six occurred in Lisbon and Tagus Valley, five in the North, four in the Centre, two in the Alentejo and one in the Algarve.
