DST, Chint Group Corporation, Iberdrola, Elsewedy, Sing - Global Investments are the five companies that move on to the next phase of Efacec's privatisation.

Efacec has five binding offers for the next phase of privatisation. Of this list, three companies are foreign and two are Portuguese, according to Portugal’s Minister of Economy, Pedro Siza Vieira.

The companies that move on to the next phase are DST, Chint Group Corporation, Iberdrola, Elsewedy, Sing – Global Investments, the Minister of Economy announced this Thursday at a press conference.

“Of the 10 offers, five of them did not comply with at least one of the defined evaluation criteria, the minimum necessary to be positively evaluated,” the Minister of Economy said.

Pedro Siza Vieira now admits he intends to conclude Efacec’s privatisation this summer. The company “quickly needs to find an investor” that will give continuity to the company, he explained.

The Minister of Economy had already mentioned that there were ten non-binding offers for Efacec’s privatisation, but only five companies made it to the final stage.
