2,583 new cases and 203 deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal
The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 2,583 new cases.
There are 2,583 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 770,502. 203 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 6,070 inpatients, 862 of them in intensive care units. There are over 180,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.
Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 14,557 people, 203 of them in the last 24 hours.
