Number of coronavirus infections increases 1.69%. There are 820 dead and 1,201 recovered

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Portugal rose to 22,353, while the number of deaths from the coronavirus increased to 820.

Portuguese health authorities have found 371 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of people infected by the new coronavirus in the country to 22,353. This is a daily growth rate of 1.69%. Thirty-five people died, bringing the number of fatalities to 820, according to data from the Directorate General for Health (DGS).

There are currently 1,095 hospitalized patients (51 less than in the previous 24 hours), 204 of whom are in intensive care. The number of recovered patients has increased again. There are now 1,201 recovered, 58 more than the previous day.

Since the Pandemic arrived in Portugal, the North has been the most affected region. It currently has a total of 13,382 confirmed cases and 475 fatalities. The region of Lisbon has 5,194 cases and 146 deaths and, at last, the Centro region has 3,084 infected people and 179 deaths.
