This year the Web Summit is planning to offer 12,000 tickets to students with the Inspire Programme. Candidates must be anywhere between 14 and 26 years old, and they can choose one day of the event.

Web Summit is giving students the opportunity to attend the biggest tech event in the world, for free, through their Inspire Program. Students aged 14 to 26 will be able to apply for an entry pass and attend one of the three days of the event, the organization announced this Thursday.

The initiative is part of the Inspire Program, an idea from the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa.

Last year, the program received around 120,000 applications, an overwhelming amount considering there were only 6,000 tickets available, making Paddy Cosgrave’s organization announced this year that the number of spots would be doubled in 2018, to 12,000.

Candidates will have access to the central stage of Altice Arena, which has a total capacity for 15,000 people. Candidates can choose between one of the days of the event: 6th, 7th or 8th of November.

The Web Summit has renewed this year its deal with Lisbon for ten more years. This year it celebrates its the third year in the Portuguese capital, and it will take happen between the 5th and 8th of November.
