Portugal’s Tekever has signed a partnership with Estonia’s Skeleton Technologies targeting defence, aerospace and autonomous systems, with a focus on NATO’s eastern flank.

Portuguese drone maker Tekever has signed a memorandum of understanding with Estonia’s Skeleton Technologies to cooperate on defence, aerospace and advanced technologies, with a focus on the UK, France, Estonia and NATO’s eastern flank.

The agreement, signed at the Eurosatory 2026 defence and security trade fair in France, provides for the two companies to assess potential areas of collaboration including advanced energy architectures for autonomous systems, sensing capabilities, space applications and future opportunities tied to sovereign European defence and dual-use technologies.

Tekever said the initiative follows the opening of its first office in Tallinn, a move it described as an important step in its engagement with Estonia’s industry and the defence priorities of allies in the Baltic region. In a statement, chief executive Ricardo Mendes said the partnership combines Tekever’s expertise in autonomous systems, artificial intelligence and defence technologies with Skeleton’s advanced energy systems.

The agreement also includes the expansion of joint projects in the Toulouse aerospace ecosystem in France, where Tekever recently doubled its investment plan to €200 million. Tekever said the memorandum reflects the growing strategic importance of NATO’s eastern flank for Europe’s long-term security and technological sovereignty.
