Jerónimo Martins makes €261M net profit in H1

The group's EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) increased between January and June, by 19.1%, to €851 million.

Jerónimo Martins recorded net profits of €261 million in the first half of the year, a growth of 40.3% compared to the same period the previous year, it told the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) on Tuesday in a statement.

In the same period, sales of the Pingo Doce owner were €11.9 billion, up 20% on the first half of 2021, it said.

In turn, the group’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) increased between January and June, by 19.1%, to €851 million.
