Six more Covid-19 deaths on Tuesday; 345 new infections

In the last 24 hours, 345 new cases were identified by the coronavirus in Portugal, with the total number of infected rising to 39,737.

Portugal has recorded six more deaths related to Covid-19 than on Monday and 345 more infected, most of them in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, according to the health authorities (DGS) daily epidemiological bulletin.

The DGS data shows 1,540 deaths related to Covid-19 and 39,737 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Compared to Monday’s data, today there was an increase in deaths of 0.4%. The cases of infection rose by 0.9%.

In the region of Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, where there has been the greatest number of cases, the Covid-19 pandemic reached 17,225 confirmed cases, 299 more than on Monday, which corresponds to 87% of new infections.
