TAP climbs 28 positions in the AirHelp airline ranking

The airline improved its score in the various areas assessed in the study, achieving 5.99 points in punctuality, 7.82 in service quality and 6.76 in complaints management.

TAP climbed 28 positions in AirHelp’s airline quality ranking, rising from 61st in 2019 to 33rd this year. Ireland’s Ryanair came in penultimate place on a list comprising 64 carriers.

According to a statement from the company that processes passenger claims, TAP improved its score in the various areas assessed in the study, achieving 5.99 points in punctuality, 7.82 in service quality and 6.76 in complaints management. The airline reached an overall rating of 6.86 points, from 6.03 points in 2019.

Qatar Airways was again considered the best airline in the world, with an overall score of 8.11. Also on the podium were United Airlines (8.07) and Qantas Airways (8.02). AirHelp also highlights the significant increase in the ranking of the German Eurowins (6th place) and the low-cost Transavia (26th place).

At the other extreme, in last place, is China Eastern Airlines, with a score of only 4.69. Ryanair, which scores poorly on complaints management, takes second-to-last place. Canada’s Westjet and Turkey’s Pegasus Airlines stand out in the losses of position.
