"If they go ahead with a new bond issue this year - assuming it is attractively priced - we will definitely take part," says Aperture's head of investment Simon Thorp.

Asset manager Aperture says it is available to buy TAP bonds as soon as they come to market, as is the company’s intention, according to its head of investment in an interview with Jornal de Negócios.

Even before the restructuring plan, asset manager Aperture bought TAP bonds. At the time, it invested $0.70 for each bond maturing in 2024. Currently, this line is worth $0.92. “It was a good investment,” says Aperture’s head of investment Simon Thorp.

Because of these results and given that the airline is expected to go ahead with a new debt issue, Generali Investments’ asset manager, Aperture, opens the door to new investments. “If they go ahead with a new bond issue this year – assuming it is attractively priced – we will take part,” he signals.
