The agreement foresees that the supply of energy generated in solar and wind farms in Poland will start during the fourth quarter of 2023.

GreenVolt announced this Monday that it has signed a 15-year contract with BA Glass to supply green energy to the Polish unit of the glassmaking group.

Under the terms of the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) now signed, the renewable electricity will go through Augusta Energy, a joint venture between KGAL, a German asset manager, and V-Ridium Power, a company operating in the Polish market that is 100% owned by GreenVolt.

The agreement foresees that the supply of energy generated in solar and wind farms in Poland will start during the fourth quarter of 2023.

“This agreement with BA Glass in Poland reinforces GreenVolt’s position as a reference operator in the development and operation of renewable energy projects in Europe plus its ability to respond with tailored solutions to the needs of its customers and to help them to achieve their decarbonisation goals,” says the company’s CEO, João Manso Neto, quoted in a statement.
