The company will end the lay-off on Monday after having registered a "slight improvement" in some critical suppliers, but does not rule out the possibility of resorting to this mechanism again.

Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, in Braga, will end the lay-off, on Monday, after having registered a “slight improvement” in some critical suppliers, but may have to resort to this mechanism again.

“Currently Bosch has seen a slight improvement in some of its most critical suppliers and, despite still being receiving volumes below its needs, has decided to end the lay-off under the Labour Code effective September 2021,” the company said in a note sent to Lusa news agency, clarifying that workers have already been informed.

On May 10, Bosch in Braga laid off 2,300 workers, ensuring the retribution of “85% of gross monthly income” to those covered, due to the shortage of semiconductors.

According to the information given to Lusa, the company does not exclude the possibility of resorting to this mechanism again if the delivery of electrical components again worsens.
