The company's turnover rose by 1.5% in November, same period in 2019, to €11.5 million.

The turnover of Portuguese porcelain and crystal manufacturer Vista Alegre rose by 1.5% in November, compared to the same period in 2019, to €11.5 million, and fell by 6.8% in the year to €99 million, the group said on Friday.

In November, turnover rose €200,000 year on year, the company said in a statement.

Online sales, in November, continued to show a good performance, showing a growth of 188% compared to November 2019, the group said.

The Private Label channel was the biggest contributor to the increase in turnover, with a 17% increase in November compared to the same month last year, Vista Alegre added.

The retail channel, on the other hand, was penalised due to the tax payments made as part of mitigating the spread of the pandemic, having recorded a drop in sales in shops, materialising in a 16% decrease compared with the same period of the previous year.

Vista Alegre pointed out that with the current worsening of the pandemic crisis, the economic outlook is very dependent on the spread or control of the disease, and such measures may affect the activity of the company, with a greater impact on retail sales.
