CTT starts selling masks and disinfectant gel in stores
The company will sell packs of six surgical masks for 10 euros and packs of 100 ml disinfectant gel for five euros.
Covid-19 is changing the business models of several companies. CTT continues to distribute letters and orders, but the post office company led by João Bento will also start selling masks and disinfectant gel in stores throughout the country.
“Given the current context of the Covid-19 Pandemic in which we live, and taking into account the concern for the safety and welfare of customers, CTT is selling these products in its retail network, making sure that citizens move as little as possible when buying essential goods,” the company said in a statement.
Six surgical masks with “ASTM level two certification according to the European Union directive” will be on sale for 10 euros. The 100 ml disinfectant gel will have the unit price of five euros.
The initiative comes after the Directorate General for Health (DGS) recommended the use of protective masks to anyone in indoor public places.
