There are 16,934 infected with Covid-19 in Portugal. Death toll at 535

The Directorate General for Health (DGS) increased the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Portugal to 16,934.

The Directorate General of Health (DGS) identified 349 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal, bringing the number of people infected with the disease to 16,934. It is the lowest daily growth rate ever recorded since the outbreak started in Portugal (2.10%).

According to DGS bulletin, 31 more patients have died from the virus, 535 since the outbreak was detected in the country. A total of 277 people have recovered from the disease, a number that has not changed since the previous day.

Of the total number of cases, 1,187 people are hospitalized. The rest are being monitored at their respective homes. There are still 3,264 cases awaiting laboratory results and 26,989 people are under surveillance by the authorities.
