Lisbon stocks up, PSI20 gains 0.83%

PSI20 was up this morning by 0,83%, reaching 5,506.83 points. After a week of losses due to a set of new US taxes, Navigator showed a 1,38% improvement.

The Lisbon stock exchange’s main index, the PSI20, at 9:10 AM on Monday was gaining 0.83% to 5,506.83 points, in line with other European markets, which had gains of below 1%.

Fifteen of a total of 18 companies on the PSI20 were gaining mid-morning and of the remaining three, one was unchanged and two were down – Pharol (-1.36% to €0.217 per share) and Corticeira Amorim (-0.37% to €10.78 per share).

From those on the rise, Mota-Engil had the highest gains, of 2.88% to €2.855, followed by Semapa (1.63% to €18.72), CTT (1.61% to €3.288) and BCP (1.48% to €0.254).

With gains above 1%, Navigator rose 1.38% to €4.412, Sonae had an increase of 1.32% to €0.958, Jerónimo Martins gained 1.15% to €13.14 and NOS increased 1.10% to €4.978.

With gains below 1% were EDP Renováveis (+0.63%), Altri (+0.60%), Sonae Capital (+0.46%), Galp (+0.46%), EDP (+0.35%), Ibersol (+0.20%) and REN (+0.08%).

Similarly to Lisbon, the other main European markets were trading up, with overall gains of less than 1%, affected by the situation in Turkey and the evolution of the Turkish lira, while cautious negotiations are expected between the United States and China.
