BCP to issue new senior preferred bonds
The bonds will be valid until October 25, 2024. However, repayment may occur in 2024 because, in the first two years, these bonds will have a fixed coupon.
BCP is again in the debt issuance market. The Portuguese bank intends to raise €300 million in new senior preferred bonds to mature in three years. The operation is already underway and may be concluded on Tuesday, reports Bloomberg news agency, cited by Jornal de Negócios.
The bonds will be valid until October 25, 2024. However, repayment may occur in 2024 because, in the first two years, these bonds will have a fixed coupon. If there is no early repayment, the quarterly interest will be reset.
BCP’s last debt operation in the market dates back to November 2021, with the issue of €300 million in subordinated debt securities. At the time, the bonds had a maturity of ten years and six months.
