Ministries implementing recovery, resilience plan to be relocated in Lisbon
The ministries with direct responsibility for implementing the RRP will be housed in a single physical space, the current headquarters of the state owned Caixa Geral de Depósitos bank (CGD).
The Prime Minister has decided that the ministries with direct responsibility for implementing the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) will be housed in a single physical space, the current headquarters of the state owned Caixa Geral de Depósitos bank (CGD) in Lisbon.
This change appears in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Prime Minister’s office on the structure of the XXIII Constitutional Government, presented on Tuesday by António Costa to the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
“The Prime Minister informs that he has also decided to move forward with the ministries in a single physical space,” the statement said.
According to the same statement, “the ministries with direct responsibility for the execution of the Recovery and Resilience Plan will be the first to be housed in the current headquarters of CGD”, which should take place “by the end of 2022”.
“These ministries will be “under the coordination of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers,” he added.
In February, in statements to journalists, Prime Minister António Costa had already admitted the possibility of proceeding in the new legislature to relocate several ministries to the building that currently serves as the headquarters of Caixa Geral de Depósitos.
