Bond yields on the rise in all maturities, record highs since spring 2020
As seen in Spain, Greece, Ireland and Italy, yields on Portuguese debt were rising again this Monday to two-, five- and 10-year highs since spring 2020.
Yields on Portuguese debt were rising again on Monday to two-, five- and 10-year highs since spring 2020, in line with those of Spain, Greece, Ireland and Italy.
At 08h30 am in Lisbon, 10-year yields were climbing to 0.997%, a high since May 2020, from 0.963% on Friday.
In this term, yields ended in negative terrain on the January 8, 11 and 15 2020 sessions and reached the current all-time low of -0.059% on December 15 2020.
In the same vein, five-year interest rates were rising, to 0.299%, a high also since May 2020, from 0.260% on Friday, after retreating to the current all-time low of -0.506% on December 15 2020.
Two-year interest rates also rose, to -0.204%, a high since June 2020, from -0.220% on Friday and the all-time low of -0.814% on November 29 2021.
