TAP to investigate HR staff for Madrid recruitment video

At issue is a video, in which the head of human resources for TAP Maintenance & Engineering and the airline's director of human resources claim to be recruiting for TAP Madrid, for the cargo area.

The board of TAP has decided to launch an investigation followed by disciplinary procedures applicable to the two human resources managers who appear in a video published on social media, in which they claim to be in Madrid recruiting staff for the airline.

“Having become aware of a publication on social networks in which two company HR employees take part in a personal capacity and given the moment that TAP is going through, in which we are all being asked to make sacrifices, the Board of Directors has decided to immediately open an enquiry process followed by disciplinary procedures applicable to this situation,” said an official TAP source in response to Lusa.

“At this delicate moment in the life of the company, the Board of Directors expresses its solidarity with all TAP workers and appeals to everyone’s common sense and restraint,” the same source added.

At issue is a video posted on the Facebook page of the head of human resources for TAP Maintenance & Engineering, João Falcato, in which he appears accompanied by the airline’s director of human resources, Pedro Ramos, in which they claim to be recruiting for TAP Madrid, for the cargo area.

TAP is undergoing a restructuring process due to the difficult financial situation caused by the pandemic, which has meant a reduction in the number of employees.
