Portugal: Day with no deaths and just 572 new cases of Covid-19
Since the start of the pandemic, Portugal has had 847,006 cases and 17,022 deaths from Covid-19.
There are 572 new cases of coronavirus compared to Wednesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 847,006. No Covid-19 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 233 inpatients, 53 of them in intensive care units (ICU). There are over 12,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.
Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March last year, the coronavirus has caused the death of 17,022 people.
