EDP Renováveis sells USA wind, solar portfolio for $684M
The Portuguese company has concluded the sale of an 80% stake in wind and solar portfolio in the United States for 684 million dollars.
EDP Renováveis has concluded the sale of an 80% stake in wind and solar portfolio in the United States to Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure for 684 million dollars (around 560 million euros).
In a statement sent on Monday to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), EDP informs that, through its 82.6% subsidiary EDP Renováveis, “the sale of an 80% shareholding in a wind and solar portfolio with 563 MW (450 MW net) of installed capacity located in the United States, to Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure, was concluded for a total value of 684 million dollars.”
The deal follows the information reported on September 2 2020 and the sale concluded today “is part of the asset rotation strategy for the 2019-22 period, contemplated in the ‘Strategic Update’ announced on March 12 2019,” EDP states.
