Vaccination against Covid-19 will start in Portugal between December 27 and 29. The first group to be vaccinated in the country will focus on health professionals.

The Health Minister announced on Thursday that vaccination against Covid-19 could start on December 27 in Portugal and other European countries with the vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech.

At a press conference after a meeting with vaccination planners, Marta Temido said that the European Medicines Agency could issue conditional authorisation on 23 December and that the first doses of the vaccine could arrive in Portugal on the 26th.
