These are the 10 municipalities with the highest risk of Covid-19 in Portugal
The municipality with the highest risk of contagion is Mondim de Basto (Vila Real), with 2,663 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. It is followed by Marvão e Chaves.
Portugal has 25 municipalities considered to be at ‘extreme risk’, that is, with an incidence rate of Covid-19 cases higher than 960 per 100,000 inhabitants over the last 14 days. But in which municipalities is the risk of contagion higher?
The data provided by DGS on Monday allow an answer to this question. The municipality with the highest risk of contagion is Mondim de Basto (Vila Real), with 2,663 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. It is followed by Marvão e Chaves.
On Friday, the government is expected to reassess the four levels (extreme, very high, high and moderate risk). The list of municipalities with the highest risk is expected to shrink, losing a dozen or so municipalities where the number of cases has slightly decreased in the last two weeks.
