Socialist party passes budget without any outside support

The Portuguese State Budget for 2021 was approved in parliament only with the Socialist Party voting in favour.

Portugal’s State Budget for 2021 was approved on Thursday in parliament only with the Socialist Party voting in favour and the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP), Ecologist Party (PEV), People-Animals-Nature Party (PAN) and the two independent members abstaining.

The parliament adopted a resolution on the state budget for 2021.

The same vote approved the Big Options Act for 2021-2023.
