3,021 new cases and 62 deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 3,021 new cases.

There are 3,021 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 187,237. 62 people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 2,742 inpatients, 382 of them in intensive care units. There are over 65,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 3,021 people, 62 of them in the last 24 hours.
