825 new cases and eight more deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and in the last 24 hours, there have been 825 new cases.

There are 825 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 75,542. Eight people have died in the last 24 hours. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate the largest number of new infections.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 666 inpatients, 105 of them in intensive care units. There are over 44,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 1,971 people, eight of them in the last 24 hours.
