688 new cases and six more deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and in the last 24 hours, there have been 688 new cases.

There are 688 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 74,717. Six people have died in the last 24 hours. The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region continues to concentrate the largest number of new infections.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 661 inpatients, 99 of them in intensive care units. There are over 42,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 1,963 people, six of them in the last 24 hours. The number of recovered is currently at 48,193.
