The Palmela factory has once again had four work teams, trying to meet the demand. It will produce 890 cars a day on weekdays.

After months of pandemic conditions, Autoeuropa is back to “all gas”. The Palmela factory, the largest in the country, has taken over the four working teams, anticipating managing to produce almost 900 vehicles a day on weekdays.

“We are at full capacity: we will be able to produce 890 cars a day from Monday to Friday, and 620 on Saturdays and Sundays,” Fausto Dionísio, coordinator of the workers’ committee, told Diário de Notícias.

The “excellent indicators from Germany,” the main export destination of the Palmela factory, contribute to this recovery, says an official source from Autoeuropa, pointing out that it is the “excellent acceptance” of T-Roc the main reason for the return to normality of the unit.
