There are 375 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal. Death toll at 1,676

The number of cases of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 47,426. Since the outbreak was detected in the country, 1,676 people have died.

Portugal has registered 375 new cases of infection by the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This is an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous day, with the total number of infected people rising to 47,426.

In the last 24 hours, eight more people have died from the disease, according to the latest update from Portugal’s health authorities (DGS). With these fatalities, the country’s death toll rises to 1,676.

Following what has been observed over the last few weeks, most of the new infections have been in the Lisbon region. A total of 288 new cases have been identified in this region, the highest since July 10 and representing 76.8% of the total identified nationwide in the last 24 hours.
