Six more Covid-19 related deaths, 451 more positive cases in last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 451 new cases were identified by the coronavirus in Portugal, with the total number of infected rising to 40,866.

Portugal now has six more Covid-19-related deaths than on Thursday and 451 more infected, most of them in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

DGS data indicate 1,555 deaths related to Covid-19 and 40,866 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Compared with data on Thursday, today there has been an increase in deaths of 0.4%. The cases of infection rose by 1.1%.

In the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, where there have been the largest number of outbreaks, the Covid-19 pandemic reached 18,106 confirmed cases, 339 more than on Thursday, which corresponds to 75.2% of new infections.
