There are 300 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal. Death toll at 1,522

The number of cases of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 37,336. Since the outbreak was detected in the country, 1,522 people have died.

There are 346 new cases of coronavirus in Portugal, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 37,336. The Lisbon region continues to have the highest number of new infections. So far, 1,522 people have died.

Since the outbreak in Portugal on March 2, 37,336 cases of Covid-19 have been detected, i.e. more 300 than the number recorded in Monday’s bulletin. Most of the new infections were registered in the Lisbon region, with 236 of the new cases, which represents about 78.7% of the total and a decrease compared to the previous day.

Of the total number of infected, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 423 being hospitalized, of which 71 are in intensive care units. There are 1,316 people awaiting laboratory results and 30,810 in surveillance by health authorities.
