The company's management will bring to the general meeting a dividend of 18.5 cents, but also the suspension of the usual extraordinary remuneration paid at the end of each year.

Corticeira Amorim decided to maintain the shareholder remuneration proposal, despite the context of the crisis caused by the new coronavirus pandemic. The general meeting will receive a dividend of 18.5 cents, but also the suspension of the usual extraordinary remuneration paid at the end of each year.

“Considering the consequences of the pandemic and the inherent worsening of the economic and social context, in Portugal and across the world, and in view of the high degree of uncertainty regarding the resumption of normal economic activity, the Board of Directors of Corticeira Amorim met, considered and decided to maintain the proposal for the appropriation of profits that it approved on March 23, 2020,” refers the company in a statement sent to the CMVM.

“Based on its financial strength and the adequate capital structure of Corticeira Amorim, the Board of Directors proposes to maintain the proposal to distribute a dividend of 18.5 cents per share”. This proposal will be voted on at the general meeting scheduled for June 26, but at this important meeting, investors will also vote the suspension of the extraordinary dividend.
