TAP support plan “will have environmental policies,” says Matos Fernandes
The support plan for the airline "will also have environmental policies in its multiple criteria," assured João Matos Fernandes.
Minister for the Environment and Climate Action, João Matos Fernandes, guarantees that the support plan for TAP will have environmental policies, in an interview with Jornal de Negócios. This plan is not yet known in its entirety and is still being discussed between the government and the airline’s management. The support plan “will also have environmental policies in its multiple criteria,” assured João Matos Fernandes.
In the same interview, the minister said the objectives of the National Energy and Climate Plan are “absolutely realistic,” pointing out that the sector that is most advanced is the electric producer and “what has to make the biggest leap is the agriculture”.
At last, Matos Fernandes also guaranteed that a larger solar energy auction could be held next year and that the fall in the price of oil may speed up the phasing out of tax benefits attributed to fuels.
