The Portuguese construction company will build a bridge pier and an unloading platform in what will be one of the largest gas exploration projects in the world in the next decade.

Mota-Engil has won a contract worth 365 million dollars in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, in a 50/50 partnership with Besix for a construction project linked to one of the largest gas exploration projects in the world over the next decade.

According to the information sent to the market, the project has CCS JV as a client and will contemplate the construction of a pier bridge and a offloading facility.

“The works will last 32 months, starting in the first half of 2020, being this the first contract awarded by CCS JV in the scope of exploration of Area 1 of the LNG project,” stresses the Portuguese construction company.
