Financial Times: three Portuguese schools among the best Finance MA

Programmes from Nova University, Catholic University and ISCTE made the list of the 60 best Finance MA in the world, according to Financial Times.

Financial Times highlights three Portuguese Universities in their global ranking of Finance MA, a list which distinguishes the top Masters in Finance in the world. Portuguese schools on the list are Nova SBE, Católica Lisbon SBE and ISCTE Business School, all located in Lisbon. They have been recognized among a total of 64 schools.

The best place was achieved by Nova SBE: concerning 2017, the university conquered the 19th place among the elite schools, decreasing five places in comparison to last year. Among the Portuguese universities, it is the one with the largest percentage of international students (66%). It is also the one where students have the best salary three years after graduating: 66,467 dollars.

The second place among the Portuguese belongs to Católica Lisbon SBE, which holds the 26th place in the ranking. It is the first time the finance MA from the Catholic University enters the list. The employment rate after three months of graduating stands at 95%, and after graduation the wage increases ascends to 55%. The Masters also has 43% international professors.

The third place held by Portugal is belongs to the Finance masters from ISCTE Business School, also a new entrance in the prestigious list. It reached 40th place: the course has the fifth fastest career progress prospects out of the total of 64 contemplated universities and the salary increase since concluding the MA is the 12th largest of the list, standing at 73%; in addition, it comes in 8th place in terms of gender equality indicators, with 45% female students.

The ranking is headed by the Finance masters from Edhec Business School, followed by HEC Paris, both in France. The third place is held by Essec Business School from France and Singapore.
