Frasquilho will be replaced as AICEP’s chairman
Luís Filipe de Castro Henriques was chosen by the Government to replace Miguel Frasquilho as AICEP's chairman. The decision will have to be approved by the Council of Ministers.
Miguel Frasquilho decided he would not be renewing his term of office as chairman of the Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency (AICEP). During an interview last November, Frasquilho announced the decision saying he had a “sense of accomplishment” and that he intended to “pursue new professional challenges” once his term ended. This meant the Portuguese Government had to find his replacement: ECO knows the executive member of the current administration Luís Filipe de Castro Henriques was the person the Government appointed as the new chairman.
Luís Filipe de Castro Henriques has an Economics degree from the Portuguese Catholic University and has a masters also in Economics by the Cambridge University, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. Before becoming a part of AICEP‘s administration, Henriques worked for EDP, namely in the marketing and innovation department, and for McKinsey as a consultant. Henriques also worked with the minister for the Economy and the State Secretary for Housing Rosário Águas.
ECO is aware that Castro Henriques’ team is already chosen to: João Rodrigues, António Silva, Madalena Oliveira e Silva and Maria Serrano. The names have yet to be approved by the Council of Ministers.
