Galp now has full control over Ventiveste. The operation amounted to €6.4 million.

Galp bought Martifer’s 48.5% stake in Ventiveste, and now has full control of the consortium it had held with Martifer since 2007, reports Jornal de Negócios.

“Taking full control over Ventinveste was a business opportunity realized in total alignment with Galp’s strategy to diversify its Iberian portfolio of renewable energy, which is based mainly on solar energy,” an official Galp source explained to the newspaper. The operation reached a value of €6.4 million.

Ventiveste only has in its portfolio the Vale Grande wind farm in Arganil, with an installed capacity of 12.3 megawatts (MW), which began operating at the beginning of last decade. This acquisition is part of Galp’s “global strategic plan for energy transition”, which had already bought two portfolios of renewable energy projects in the Brazilian market, still under development, in May.
