NOS sells additional portfolio of sites to Cellnex for €155 million
The transaction will represent a cash inflow of €150 million for the Portuguese company.
NOS will go ahead with the sale of up to 350 sites (towers and rooftops) to Cellnex, as part of the long-term partnership between the two companies. The operation is valued at €150 million, according to a statement sent by the company to the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (CMVM).
The partnership between the companies was established in 2020, when the Portuguese company sold the entirety of NOS Towering to Cellnex.
“This agreement represents a further step in the long-term strategic partnership with Cellnex in 2020, with still a number of site to be delivered until 2026, ensuring the supply of current and future needs of NOS’ passive mobile infrastructure,” the company explained. In addition to this agreement, NOS stated that will continue to “to pursue other investment efficiency opportunities.”
The non-opposition by the Competition Authority is still required for the deal to go ahead.
