GreenVolt acquires Polish energy storage KSME for €3 million
In addition to storage and grid connection, GreenVolt plans to use KSME's capacity to connect large-scale projects to the Polish grid, such as solar, wind and hybrid projects.
GreenVolt announced this Thursday the acquisition of the Polish energy storage company KSME, which holds a portfolio of 5.56 GW. Of this capacity, 1.4 GW is already connected to PSE, the Polish network operator. The deal was made in partnership with NEO Energy Group.
The value of the transaction amounted to around €3 million, representing a cost of €2,100/MW for connection to the already assured network.
In a statement, the Portuguese company said the transaction was carried out through GreenVolt’s Polish subsidiary, the V-Ridium Power Group, which now owns 51% of KSME.
In addition to storage and grid connection, GreenVolt plans to use KSME’s capacity to connect large-scale projects to the Polish grid, such as solar, wind and hybrid projects.
