2,362 new cases and four deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

Since the start of the pandemic, Portugal has had 879,557 cases and 17,096 deaths from Covid-19.

There are 2,362 new cases of coronavirus compared to Tuesday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 879,557. Two people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 504  inpatients, 120 of them in intensive care units (ICU). There are over 20,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March 2020, the coronavirus has caused the death of 17,096 people, four of them in the last 24 hours.
