Goods exports in Q4 up 16% YoY; imports up 17%
In the third quarter of 2022, the year-on-year rates of increase had been 27.9% for exports and 36.5% for imports, according to INE.
Exports of goods from Portugal in the fourth quarter of 2022 were up 16.0% from the same period of 2021, while imports rose by 17.1%, according to flash estimates released on Monday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
Compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, the respective increases were of 32.0% for exports and 51.9% for imports, it added.
Compared to the fourth quarter of 2019 – before the Covid-19 pandemic – the figures for the final quarter of 2022 were up 27.8% and 37.5% respectively.
