Workers associated with the unions Mais, SBC and SBN will see the raises already in their wages next month.

BCP and the unions Mais, Sindicato dos Bancários do Centro (SBC) and Sindicato dos Bancários do Norte (SBN) have reached an agreement for wage increases of 0.5% and 1.1% in 2021 and 2022, respectively, which “will allow the associated workers to see the raises processed in their wages already in July”.

In a statement, the unions reported “very difficult negotiations” with the BCP, which remained intransigent and did not allow an understanding earlier.

“But BCP changed its position, presenting a proposal more in line with the unions’ wishes,” the three unions say, adding that they have now agreed to the wage reviews for 2021 and 2022, meaning that the workers will see these raises already in next month’s wages.

For 2021, the agreement establishes a raise of 0.5% in the wage scale and monetary clauses, and a food allowance of €9.80.

In 2022, the wage scale increases by 1.1% up to level 13 and 0.70% from level 14 to 20, while the food allowance rises to €10.50 and the monetary clauses have an 1.1% adjustment.
