JPAB joins Bank of Portugal’s group

Marisa Silva Monteiro, Financial & Guarantees coordinator at José Pedro Aguiar-Branco Advogados, JPAB, was invited by the Bank of Portugal (BoP) to join the market’s contact group that the institution has just created to discuss the digital euro.
The Bank of Portugal intends this group to “contribute to obtaining the view of different stakeholders in society regarding the options for the design and distribution of a potential digital euro and the opportunities that its introduction could bring to the different agents and sectors of activity involved in the domestic payments market”.
The members of the market’s contact group were selected by Bank of Portugal “based on their professional experience and connection to the financial system.”
