Extradition trail of João Rendeiro scheduled for May 20

The former chairman of BPP will remain in detention in Westville prison, in South Africa, where he returned at the end of today's hearing.

Judicial judge Johan Van Rooyen, who is presiding over the case of former Portuguese banker João Rendeiro, today scheduled a session between the parties for May 20 to prepare the extradition trial, which has indicative dates of June  13 to 30.

The magistrate said that these are dates “agreed by the parties”.
