Record 65,578 new cases, 42 Covid-19 deaths in last 24 hours

According to the daily epidemiological bulletin, 2,313 people are hospitalised today, seven less than on Tuesday, 154 of whom are in intensive care units, four fewer today.

Portugal has recorded 65,578 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the last 24 hours, a new maximum and 42 more deaths associated with Covid-19, indicate the figures released by the health authority (DGS) Wednesday.

According to the daily epidemiological bulletin, 2,313 people are hospitalised today, seven less than on Tuesday, 154 of whom are in intensive care units, four fewer today.

The number of active cases increased to 515,962, 3,391 more than on Tuesday, and in the last 24 hours, 62,145 people were reported recovered, for a total of 1,842,153.
